The SalivaGene Collector utilizes a freeze-dried stabilization buffer that stabilizes genomic and bacterial DNA for 12 months at room temperature. The lyophilized buffer is dissolved by the moisture of the sample and thereby activates its DNA stabilizing properties. This reduces electricity costs associated with refrigeration, freezing, and temperature-controlled shipping. The SalivaGene Collector is designed to be user-friendly, with clear instructions and simple, intuitive, and non-invasive sample collection. Approx. 2 ml of saliva must be given per sample.
